Brandywine Realty Trust, one of the largest, publicly traded, full-service, integrated real estate companies in the United States, with a core focus in the Philadelphia, PA, Washington, D.C., and Austin, TX Markets, has an immediate opening for a Corporate Accountant to work with our Corporate Accounting team. Based at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, the primary role of this position is to work with the Corporate Accounting Manager and to support accounting needs related to the monthly general ledger closing, management reporting processes and external financial reporting.

The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

—Prepare and post journal entries related to the monthly & quarterly close
—Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations for the monthly and quarterly close
—Reconcile various bank accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
—Prepare the Company’s debt & joint venture workpapers
—Prepare and post journal entries related to the Company’s parking properties
—Help monitor the Company’s cash balances across various banks
—Assist with the opening and closing of bank accounts
—Prepare and initiate wire requests
—Assist in the approval of ACH positive pays as well as AP runs
—Assist with external and internal audit requests
—Perform special projects as needed, as requested by the Corporate Accounting Manager, Controller, or other personnel.

Qualifications

—Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required.
—1-3 years of experience, real estate a plus.
—Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint required.
—MRI or other commercial property management accounting software experience preferred.
