Assistant Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Data Center Assistant Manager. In this leadership position, you will have the opportunity to guide and develop a team of professionals.
As the Data Center Assistant Manager, you will lead and manage Data Center-based projects, ensuring the smooth operation of key infrastructure within Equinix data centers. you will play a pivotal role in supporting your supervisors and leading by example. Leading and engaging with others is vitally important to the role; being flexible and identifying the needs of both your Team and the business in a strategic manner will be key to your success.

Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
Lead and supervise a team of skilled support members, providing immediate guidance and support
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and maintain schedules to ensure efficient workflow
Develop those around you, identifying areas of strength and growth with individuals to build internal talent
Project and Infrastructure Site Management
Plan, coordinate, and budget resources for projects and maintenance within our state-of-the-art data centres
Execute routine tasks and meet unit targets, ensuring smooth operations on a weekly basis
Provide valuable input and guidance towards budget planning
Oversee site capacity to ensure optimal performance
Vendor Management
Ensure contractors adhere to Equinix’s high standards, overseeing their work and operations
Testing and Incident Management
Assist with start-up tests, meticulously documenting and reporting any issues
Communicate and coordinate activities with on-site staff during incidents, ensuring swift resolution
Qualifications
Minimum completed MBO education (preferably in a technical field)
5 years minum relevant experience
Experience leading and developing others- team engagement is vital
Demonstrable work experience as a maintenance technician, facility manager, or service engineer
Proficiency in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
Service-oriented and solution-focused
Experience in project management
Motivated and flexible
Based in Amsterdam
