Two Harbors is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join the Human Resources team. The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for supporting the company’s compensation programs inclusive of but not limited to project support, implementation and analysis of compensation programs in accordance with the company’s compensation strategy and philosophy, and ad hoc payroll functions for the company in compliance with federal and state regulations. A successful candidate will also be able to utilize strong organizational skills to ensure completion of audit requests and reporting are done accurately and in accordance with internal processes.
Responsibilities
—Assist with providing business leaders and their teams compensation support/counsel and offer creative solutions to compensation related issues.
—Partner in administering compensation programs including conducting competitive market analysis and annual short term incentive plans.
—Benchmarks jobs against survey data to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position and determine FLSA exemption classification.
—Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheets and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
—Prepare data necessary for participation in annual salary surveys.
—Assists in the monthly compensation cycle including calculating productivity bonus compensation
—Assists in the annual compensation cycle, including administration, analysis, reporting, and development of Total Reward Statements.
—Assists in Processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees; including reviewing and entering timesheets, tax and direct deposit information, and administering regulatory requirements
—Assists in maintaining data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data and reviewing source documents for accuracy and completion of data input.
—Promotes best practices to ensure continued internal equity and external competitiveness.
—Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
—Assist with audit and sox compliance requests internally and/or from regulatory agencies.
—Manage ad hoc Human Resources projects as directed
—All other duties as requested.
Qualifications
—Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the responsibilities of the job such as those listed.
—2 – 3 years’ experience in a compensation or analytics role within a dynamic company.
—Proficient with technology tools such as HRIS and MS Office Suite with advanced knowledge in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
—Strong analytical skills demonstrated in an HR capacity
—Experience processing payroll cycles
—Ability to learn new technology quickly
—Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
—Demonstrated sense of accountability and dependability for the quality and timeliness of work and
—High attention to detail and accuracy, sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
—Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach
—Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times, both internally and externally
