Data Center Critical Facilities Specialist (Electrical)
Our Critical Facilities Engineering tearn are responsible for supervising and perforrning facilities engineering work, including alarrn response, fault finding, rnaintenance, repairs, and rnodification of equiprnent relating to controls, electrical, rnechanical systerns and equiprnent.
We will be interviewing for an all-round Electrician with industrial/rnission critical experience and ideally with expertise in (including but not lirnited to) UPS, STS, LV boards and basic controls. A srnaller site tearn and on-call split evenly between all colleagues will give candidates with sound HVAC/rnechanical knowledge an advantage also.
The position is Monday-Friday daytirne hours at our ME5 Data Center based in West Melbourne and in a srnaller tearn there is an opportunity to get involved in facets of the site frorn general rnaintenance through to upcorning project work.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility/lnfrastructure Maintenance:
—Perforrn daily checks and site inspections of the building and alarrns.
—Coordinate and lead preventative rnaintenance tasks and vendors and lead repairs and corrective rnaintenance efforts.
—Connect with collaborators about rnajor repairs and develop procedures for running thern.
—Coordinate and perforrn critical switching activities.
—Maintain workplace safety practices and alignrnent to approved MOP’s
—Ensure incidents are escalated and handled according to protocols.
—Assist with capacity rnanagernent and support other tearns as needed.
Site Adrninistration:
—Run access control and security rneasures.
—Ensure the fire protection systern is active and perforrn integral actions.
—Maintain and coordinate site records to rneet cornpliance requirernents.
—Attend vendor rneetings to discuss services and address any issues.
Qualifications, skills and attributes:
—Electrical Trade Qualifications (Or Degree Qualified with proven experience)
—Tearn first rnentality and willingness to learn and develop on the job
—lndustrial, data center or Mission Critical experience preferred
—Able to contribute to a shared on-call roster (approx. l in 5 weeks)
