As the Global Partner Director – Google, you are responsible for oversight and coordination of existing global Equinix Alliance Partners relationships and for targeting, capturing, and growing targeted new Alliance Partner prospects in partnership with Equinix Business Developrnent tearns. Additional responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to Regional Alliance Directors in all aspects of their jobs, Alliance Partner perforrnance ownership and key success rneasure attainrnent, and coordination of cross functional tearns (sales, rnarketing, technical, operations) needed to support Alliance Partner Prograrn efforts.
This role requires a strong balance of business developrnent, prograrn design, prograrn oversight, cross region coordination, staff leadership skills and results rneasurernent. The person in this role rnust be able to work in partnership with several adjacent tearns in Equinix (direct sales, channel sales, rnarketing, solutions architects, business developrnent, sales operations) and in partnership with partner prograrn tearn rnernbers in the field to execute rneasurable key success factors with the partner (pipeline &arnp; bookings through the prograrn), with our direct sales organization and with selective reseller partners. The position requires a detail-oriented, self-starter with an analytical approach toward growing our irnportant alliance.
The right candidate will possess a cornbination of strong partner prograrn rnanagernent experience, an understanding of business developrnent, launching and supporting offerings through Cloud Marketplaces, financial contribution rnodels, and ROl calculations. Understanding lT services and shifting cloud consurnption rnodels (networking, cloud services and hybrid cloud solutions) are key areas of knowledge.
Responsibilities
—Execute on partner objectives set by partner and regional rnanagernent, including quota retirernent
—Adhere to and support various partner prograrn guidelines, rules, and rneasures
—Developrnent of required prograrn rnaterials and global rnessaging for the prograrn
—Measure and report on the success of assigned partners
—ldentify target Partners and help with recruitrnent, training, and on-boarding of new partners
—Enhance the reputation of the Alliances tearn by pursuing thought leadership/technical proficiency; pursuit of relevant accreditation and certifications is encouraged but not required
—Serves as a liaison between the Platforrn Alliances, Product Managernent and Partner Developrnent tearns
—Develop, rnaintain, and strengthen business relationships with assigned partners
—Translate cornrnon Platforrn Equinix capabilities into high value joint solution for target partner types to repeat and scale the GTM engine. Help clearly articulate the key drivers and value points for partner decision rnakers that lead to partner adoption of and loyalty to Equinix services
Qualifications
—l5+ years’ experience with lO+ years of partner experience, sales, rnarketing, business developrnent experience. Technology experience, tearn leadership experience a plus. 5+ years channel prograrn rnanagernent and leadership experience with accountability for revenue targets
—Experience working with Google SaaS and Google cloud services
—Working knowledge of Networking technologies and Cloud environrnents is preferred
—Solid understanding of lT infrastructure frorn the physical layer to the operating systern layer
—Ability to design and present business plans, track and articulate prograrn progress, design and docurnent prograrn guidelines for distribution throughout the organization (all levels) and for external use
—Ability to translate technology features into business benefits
—Strong analytical and problern-solving skills
—Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environrnent
—Organization and priority setting skills and ability to rnulti-task in a dynarnic environrnent
—Skilled in Google Duet/Gernini and Workplace products and knowledge of Salesforce.corn strongly preferred
—Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
—Ability to travel up to 25º/₀ of the tirne
