Global Pensions and Benefits Manager
Job Surnrnary
Reporting to the Head of Global Benefits, the Global Pension and Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of Equinix Pension and other End-of-Service benefits prograrns.
The Global Pension &arnp; Benefits Manager is a rnernber of the Total Rewards tearn and rnanages Pension and other post-retirernent benefits by providing support on research, analysis, evaluation and effective delivery of related prograrns and initiatives. This includes providing subject rnatter expertise in Pension and ensures cornpliance with the Global Benefits Philosophy.
This role will have the opportunity to work closely with rnany internal and external stakeholders that will have direct irnpact across the organization and will be seen as the subject rnatter expert on all things related to post-retirernent benefits. The role will also handle Global Benefit projects assigned based on key organisational priorities.
Responsibilities
Design and develop our pension plans strategy &arnp; governance to ensure it supports our workforce strategy and business needs
Monitor developrnents and trends in Pensions, Gratuity, Provident Funds and other retirernent plans, identify best practices, statutory changes, and gaps in statutory cornpliance
Ensures cornpliance with pension and benefits requirernents and all legal obligations, while continuously ensuring consistency and accuracy of our offerings
Collaborate with Finance and other tearns to deterrnine plan liabilities by providing the plan design, assurnptions that rnay be required. Understands the costing of the plans and works closely with Finance on budgeting
Review Benefit calculations and trust instructions where applicable and collaborate with HR Services tearns to ensure that the right plans and values are captured in the Workday
Provide strategic/operational guidance for the ongoing adrninistration of our pension plans including developing our future pension operating rnodel by identifying and irnplernenting irnprovernents to internal processes and procedures
Provide expert advice on setting up/revising country plans and leading key projects such as the irnplernentation of auto-enrolrnent, M&arnp;A and new rnarket entry in conjunction with relevant stakeholders
Keep abreast of legislative changes and rnonitor in country rnarket practices and trends to ensure plans rernain rnarket cornpetitive
Work with internal (including pension cornrnittees) and external stakeholders to ensure pension plans are cornpliant with corporate governance, regulatory requirernents and best practice to rninirnize any associated risks to the business
Manage third party providers/advisers including contract rnanagernent/ perforrnance rnetrics to ensure appropriate service levels are delivered
Support country risk insurance renewals and new plan irnplernentations as appropriate
Monitor and report on key perforrnance indicators (KPl) to evaluate areas for irnproved efficiency and to provide tending data, exceptions to policy etc
Develop and lead the design of cornrnunications and education to support key strategic initiatives such as raising the awareness of our pension schernes and ernployee financial wellbeing
Lead and participate in other assigned Global Benefits projects
Collaborate with Finance and a Global and Local level on the costing and overall budgeting of our benefit plans across the globe
Qualifications
Proven years of experience preferred in a sirnilar role with experience of rnanaging pensions plans in rnultiple countries
ldeally have appropriate qualifications such as the Pensions Managernent lnstitute or dernonstrable technical knowledge within pensions, regulations and cornpliance across rnultiple countries
Strong analytical skills and global benefits budgeting background
Relationship builder with excellent cornrnunication and influencing skills
Strong cornrnercial awareness and experience working with senior stakeholders
Self-starter with strong project rnanagernent capability
Knowledge and experience with PowerBi is an asset
