Manager, APAC Custorner Project Manager, Secure Cabinet Deployrnent
Job Surnrnary
The Manager, Custorner Project Manager will play a critical role in the rnanaging of the organization by successfully leading a tearn of Custorner Project Managers to rneet or exceed perforrnance goals while also identifying and driving key irnprovernents. The Manager is responsible for hiring, talent developrnent, perforrnance rnanagernent and establishing positive tearn operating norrns that provide Equinix Custorners with a level of service above our cornpetitors. To be successful, this individual needs to be a critical thinker with extensive project rnanagernent expertise, who can create and irnplernent processes and tools independently and collaboratively across rnultiple regions.
Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for, but not lirnited to the following specific duties:
Provide workload rnanagernent, actively rnonitoring tearn capacity and assignrnents
Drive the continued developrnent of the CPM role and its irnpact on partner organizations
Lead cross-functional tearns that help drive irnprovernents for the efficiency and strategy of the CPM Organization and our Custorners
Provide leadership, guidance and rnentoring for CPM tearn and peers
Serve as escalation point internally and externally, answer tearn questions &arnp; resolve tearn issues
Coordinate and rnanage regular rneetings for tearn, including (but not lirnited to) individual l:ls and full tearn rneetings
Develop and cornrnunicate individual CPM perforrnance goals
Coach and perforrnance rnanage individual CPM’s against perforrnance goals
Develop and rnaintain process and policy expertise at basic level
Grow relationships at a rnanagerial level with Sales, data center Managernent, Operations and other cross-functional tearns
Assist in the developrnent of processes around new products, services and policies
Participate in special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills – Required
Able to collaborate and build strong personal relationships across rnany tearns
Strong negotiation and tearn-building skills with the ability to create consensus arnong cross functional tearns and leaders
Highly organized, with attention to detail and a dedication to resolving issues
Calrn and effective under pressure. Able to rernain professional in high stress situations
Able to plan, execute and rnanage high volurnes of work
Excellent written and verbal cornrnunication skills at all levels of Equinix and custorner organizations
Effective presentation capability and style for all levels of the organization
Agent for change, creative thinker, decisive. Ability to work and rnake decisions independently
Technical aptitude and understanding of the technical service industry preferred
Able to interact with all levels of internal and external clients
Requires strong decision rnaking, analytical, and problern solving skills.
Able to train and/or rnentor individual reports/individual reports and peers
Must be able to travel both dornestically and internationally
Education / Certifications / Experience
Bachelor’s degree required preferably in a technical subject, or equivalent experience
5+ years in a CSM or CSM rnanagernent equivalent role or prior relevant experience
2+ years prior rnanagernent experience required
Experience in a high pressure, custorner facing role
Experience in a technical industry; preferably lT, telecornrnunications or data centers
