About this Opportunity:

We are seeking a Manager, Investments (Development) to join our regional office located in Bethesda, Maryland. The Manager of Investments will be involved in all aspects of the development process including site identification, acquisition, underwriting, zoning/entitlements, design, permitting, construction, leasing, and delivery. The Manager of Investments will be responsible for identifying potential development sites in the mid-Atlantic region as well as daily advancement of development projects and will encounter a variety of roles from high-level decision-making to daily project and team coordination.

What You’ll Be Doing:
—Assist with all aspects of the development/redevelopment of shopping center properties from acquisition through entitlement, design, construction, leasing and completion.
—Work with internal teams and manage external resources throughout the project planning process.
—Assist with the entitlement path and interface with governmental agencies to obtain approvals.
—Provide analytical support in anchor tenant evaluations, market evaluations, land use and cost estimating.
—Assist operations department with projects that require development expertise.
—Develop and maintain industry and client relationships. Provide support and interface with city and community stakeholders.
—Other special projects as necessary.
Are You Qualified?

Required:

—Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field from an accredited institution
—At least three (3) years of related work experience in commercial real estate
—Development, leasing, due diligence, underwriting and financial modeling experience
—Knowledge of the development fundamentals: process, underwriting, design, entitlement, construction, and project management
—Ability to travel within the region as necessary
—Intermediate proficiency with MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project or other scheduling software
—Advanced spreadsheet and financial analysis skills

Preferred:

—Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development, MBA with Finance and real estate courses, or related field
—Strong knowledge of commercial real estate, ideally in the retail sector
