Job Description
The person selected for this position will be employed by Warwick Insurance Company LLC, a captive insurance subsidiary of Ashford Inc and will provide support to the Ashford Group of Companies which consists of three publicly traded companies and two private funds. Two of the companies Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. and Braemar Hotels & Resorts are publicly traded hospitality REITs, while the third, Ashford Inc., is a diversified holding company which owns and operates several service companies focused on the hospitality industry. The two funds include Stirling Hotels & Resorts, Inc., a hospitality NAVREIT and Texas Strategic Growth Fund which invests in real estate in Texas.
Key Responsibilities
—Applying insurance premium allocation methodologies to create and process invoices accurately and ensuring collection and timely payment of premiums
—Reconciling cash and bank accounts used for paying claims
—Reviewing and tracking certificates of insurance for compliance with contractual requirements
—Preparing property claims data for filing with carriers and working with adjusters to resolve claims
—Interfacing with accounting and audit teams
—Create insurance budgets for new and potential acquisitions
—Prepare annual insurance budgets for various company’s insurance spend
—Reviewing actuarial data for preparation of reports
—Use risk management information systems and claims databases to enter claims and extract reports for risk analysis and underwriting
—Procure, monitor and execute surety and bonding requirements Collecting, aggregating, analyzing data with respect to losses and retentions for various lines of coverage and preparing reporting packages
—Working with counsel on subrogation matters
—Completing insurance applications and submissions

Requirements
—Bachelor’s Degree required in business or relevant field
—CPCU, ARM or similar risk management certifications preferred
—Knowledge of risk management and familiarity with programs for general liability, worker’s compensation, property, cyber and financial lines
—Strong Excel skills with ability to build models, graphs
—Ability to create power point decks and presentations with graphics
—Strong attention to detail
—Ability to work independently, take ownership of and effectively resolve problems
—Ability to use analytical skills to synthesize data
—High degree of integrity, reliability, sense of urgency and professionalism
—Collaborative, innovative, analytical with a strong commitment to excellence
—Team oriented and able to fulfill and adapt to requests of our internal and external clients
—Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to professionally communicate with upper management
—Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to facilitate the implementation of creative solutions
