PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position will be an integral part of the Corporate Security team by providing trending and analysis of organized retail crime and luxury tenant focused incident statistics and intelligence obtained from personal research and intelligence sharing partners. The position will coordinate with organized retail crime taskforces and luxury retail executives to identify current and emerging threats which may present risk to the enterprise.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
—Synthesizing proactive intelligence products on organized retail crime organization activities and trends impacting the retail sector
—Synthesizing proactive intelligence products on tenant-focused crime and other trends (especially luxury tenants)
—Collaboration with other open-source intelligence analysts and the Operational Intelligence Center intelligence analysts on intelligence products for holidays and special events, providing insights on organized retail crime or tenant-focused concerns
—Assist with and/or complete background checks upon request
—Coordinate with luxury tenant leaders and executives on intelligence sharing
—Maintain up-to-date information on Simon’s Operational Intelligence Network
—Provide updates on organized retail crime and tenant-related intelligence during weekly security calls
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
—Superior computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success.
—Extremely self-motivated, independent, energetic person who can handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
—Ability to identify and analyze trends pertaining to organized retail crime, and report analysis results in a comprehensive, yet easily understood manner.
—Strong interpersonal skills enabling positive interactions with the large variety of partners required to act as liaison.
