ELS is hiring for the position of Human Resources Data Analyst in Chicago, Illinois.
HR Data Analyst
As an HR Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, and providing insights to support strategic decision making and help improve business performance and processes. You will work with datasets from various sources to identify trends and patterns and communicate findings to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate regular reports, dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to HR leadership and business stakeholders. Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline the reporting process and customized reports to support ad-hoc requests and strategic initiatives.
Analyze HR data in Workday and other HR platforms to identify trends, patterns, and relationships related to recruitment, retention, employee engagement, performance, diversity, workforce management and other HR metrics. Apply statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract insights and make predictions.
Support workforce planning and forecasting initiatives by analyzing historical data and predicting future trends in areas such as headcount, turnover, and talent acquisition.
Create clear and compelling visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate data findings in an actionable format.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, data engineers and department heads to align HR data analytics with business objectives and priorities. Provide analytical support for HR initiatives and projects.
Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency through data analysis. Collaborate with HR business partners to develop data-driven solutions that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of data analytics capabilities within the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in HR or related field, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and multiple systems.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
Knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
