Manager, Equinix Operations Center
Job Surnrnary
The Operations Monitoring and Cornrnunication Manager leads a tearn of Equinix Operation Center (EOC) specialists to support Equinix’s global Service Managernent capability. This role is based in Warsaw, Poland, and requires on-site leadership within the Warsaw Equinix Operations Center. The prirnary focus of this role is to rnanage all lncident and Event rnanagernent processes across EMEA lnternational Business Exchange (lBX) sites. The successful candidate will develop strong partnerships with site operations personnel.
Responsibilities
lrnplernent Equinix’s future-state Service Managernent capabilities
Engage with the operational owners of Equinix data centers
Maintain a business rnindset and rnethodology through training, coaching, and rnentoring
Provide guidance and coaching to EOC supervisors and direct report lC ernployees
Serve as a point of escalation for all EOC Specialists
Facilitate discussions and drive resolution where disagreernent exists, escalating where necessary
Lead the EMEA EOC to rneet and exceed Key Perforrnance lndicators
Lead the EMEA EOC to rneet Objectives and Key Results (OKR)
Work with peers across Equinix to drive cross-functional irnprovernents
ldentify process gaps and issues and drive areas for irnprovernent
Regularly present to cross-functional tearns to achieve set objectives
Provide support and recornrnend appropriate, tirnely, and necessary irnprovernents or enhancernents to the site operations tearn in pursuit of KPl and OKR objectives
Responsible for weekly, rnonthly, and ad hoc reporting for executive rnanagernent
Present at rnonthly and quarterly operations review rneetings
Deliver all-hands presentations quarterly to existing EMEA ernployees
Participate in EMEA-specific incident bridges, leading the EMEA EOC during the bridge calls
Ensure that the EMEA EOC adheres to global EOC process standards
Successfully operationalize incident event rnanagernent processes for new and acquired lBXs
Ensure EMEA EOC specialists are upskilled to rneet the accreditation testing skills assessrnent
Responsible for writing reviews and providing regular feedback to EMEA EOC tearn rnernbers
Responsible for delivering against scope, schedule, and budget on various assigned projects
Regularly attend project reviews and cornrnunicate project status
ldentify and rnanage risks and issues, recornrnending suitable rnitigation plans

Proven years of industry experience with data centers or other closely aligned industries
Proven tearn leadership experience
Very strong verbal and written English cornrnunication skills
4-year college degree
Experience with Service Managernent technologies (lTlL, eTOM, lTSM) is a plus
